CNBC has released their annual “America’s Top States for Business” report. Among the criteria they use for their rankings is “quality of life,” which accounts for 13% of the final score for all states. Factoring into the quality-of-life score are metrics such as crime rates, health care, air quality, childcare access, personal freedoms (including reproductive rights), worker protections, and more. With those factors in mind, here are the ten states they found scored the worst in the nation.
