A UK woman had a shocking encounter when she discovered a rat in her toilet - while she was sitting on it. Rat catcher Kieran Sampler, 30, received a call to remove the rodent, which had climbed up the drains and gotten stuck, upside-down, at the bottom of the toilet.
Kieran, who runs Vermicure Pest Control in Yorkshire, UK described the experience as terrifying for the woman. "She was screaming - imagine being on the toilet and something brushes against you,” he described.
Kieran avoids using traps and instead uses his trained Lakeland Terriers, Poppy and Penny, to humanely kill rats. He helps about ten customers a day. He has seen an increase in rat sightings and advises people to rat-proof their properties by cutting back foliage and keeping outdoor areas clean.
