Everyone has had the experience of a boss not caring about things that are bothering their employees and just failing to address them while keeping up a positive approach. Despite this having been a thing since, well, forever, there’s now a term for this “new” trend…“glossing.” Experts recommend that bosses deal with problems head-on instead of “glossing” them over since ignoring problems leads to employees complaining and becoming stressed, burnt out, and more likely to call in sick or not perform well. It could also lead to “quiet quitting,” which is the fairly new term for “slacking off.”
