Pandas From China Arrive At National Zoo In D.C.

Earlier this week, a pair of giant pandas, Bao Li and Qing Bao, left their home in China heading to Washington’s National Zoo, marking the first arrival of pandas in the U.S. capital in 24 years. The move is part of China's renewed "panda diplomacy," a gesture aimed at fostering goodwill amid strained relations between the U.S. and China. The pandas will stay in Washington under a 10-year agreement, supporting conservation efforts in China. Their arrival brings excitement to the zoo, which recently completed renovations to prepare for the beloved animals' return. Check out the panda cam here!
