The Most Popular Baby Names In The U.S. For 2024

When it comes to baby names, trends come and go, but some names are such classics, they remain popular year after year. Baby Center’s latest report on the top 10 names for 2024 is proof of that, as almost every name from last year’s list is still there today.

  • The parenting website’s list is based on the popularity of names among its users, as the official U.S. Government list of popular baby names won’t be out until next year.
  • So, what are the top names of 2024? Olivia holds onto the number one title for girls and Noah remains number one for boys.
  • There aren’t many changes to the top 10 this year, but Ellie joins the list for the first time ever, landing at number nine.
  • The top seven boy names are exactly the same as 2023, but there are some new rankings in the bottom three. Asher is back at number nine after a year away, Ezra climbed one spot to number eight and Leo is down two spots to number 10.
  • Further down the baby names list, Sarah is now out of the top 100 for the first time in 60 years, falling to 108.
  • Other longtime favorites that have dropped out of the top 100 include Kayden (now 101), Dominic (now 113) and Aaron (now 120) for boys, and Eva (now 105) and Jasmine (now 122) for girls.
