You can’t tell if someone’s going to be unfaithful just by looking at them, but we now have a general idea of what a cheater looks like, thanks to new research. Scientists quizzed 2-thousand people who’ve been cheated on about the physical attributes of cheaters and then used AI to come up with the facial features of a stereotypical adulterer.

The AI image generator created “pictures” of what the typical cheater looks like, based on the descriptions of all those scorned lovers.

  • Men tend to be bald, in their 40s, with larger noses, smaller lips, blue-gray eyes, frown lines and short facial hair.
  • The stereotypical female cheater has dark hair, a small nose and is in her early 50s.
  • Both the men and women are described as having a slim build and “staring eyes.”

The survey also uncovers some interesting stats about the unfaithful:

  • Men are more likely to admit to cheating, about a third do, compared to a quarter of women.
  • Nearly 40% of women say they dumped their partner as soon as they found out he was cheating, while 12% did it a month later, and 14% called things off within three months.
  • But 20% of women admit they stayed with a cheater for at least two more years, something only 13% of men who were cheated on did.
