2024 Is The Hottest Year On Record

Global temperatures have shattered records for the second year in a row. Multiple government agencies announced Friday that 2024 was Earth's hottest in recorded history, surpassing the previous record set by 2023. Scientists say last year was hotter than any year since at least 1880. It was 2.3 degrees above NASA’s 20th century baseline. The consecutive records are part of a continued warming trajectory that scientists have been warning about.
