Forbes Ranks The Richest People In America

For the fourth year in a row, Elon Musk is the wealthiest person in the United States, according to “Forbes.” The magazine just released their annual list of the 400 richest Americans, which makes it very clear that the rich are getting richer.

  • According to the report, the 400 wealthiest people in the country are worth a combined $6.6-trillion in 2025. That’s a record high and more than $1-trillion more than last year’s total.
  • Musk, the Tesla CEO and former head of the Department of Government Efficiency, has broken the $400-billion mark on the list, becoming the first person to do so.
  • He’s worth an unbelievable $428-billion, which is $152-billion more than Larry Ellison, number two on the list with a net worth of $276-billion.
  • More than two-thirds of the 400 Americans on the list are richer than a year ago, but some billionaires’ fortunes have gone down, including Bill Gates’. He’s fallen to number 14, dropping out of the top 10 for the first time in 34 years after huge donations to charity.
  • There are 62 women on this year’s ranking, which is about 16% of the list.
