Authorities in India are trying to identify a girl who was found living with monkeys in a jungle. The girl, believed to be eight- to ten-years-old, was naked and extremely malnourished when she was found in a northern India jungle in January. Doctors at a hospital southeast of New Delhi where she is being treated said she walked on all fours and doesn't talk, only muttering unintelligible sounds.
A doctor who visited the girl this week had good news. He said she is gradually shedding her animal traits for more human qualities, and is able to stand on her legs, walk normally and is interacting with humans.
Now, of course, they're trying to find out who her parents are and how she ended up living in the jungle.
