You may have heard about Isis Harambe? The woman whose license photo went viral? But most people thought it was either a fake or she changed her name as a joke. Well it turns out she's not a hoax and that's actually the name she was given at birth.
Isis explains her parents were Rastafarians when she was born. "My mom kinda picked my first name, and ‘Isis’ was a Bob Dylan song, along with the Egyptian goddess," she says, "and then Harambe means ‘Harmony’ in Swahili, and my Dad picked my middle name.”
Yes, Isis is just as surprised by what her name turned out to represent. “Isis Harambe, it’s just me, that’s so insane, it’s crazy to me,” she adds. “I can’t believe it.”
