Nicholas Banos and trapping partner Leonardo Sanchez were driving around Florida Everglades when they spotted a python. A massive, 144-pound python!
Not only was it an incredible find, but it also probably put them in good graces with their bosses. Nicholas and Leonardo are some of the commissioned snake hunters hired to kill Burmese pythons, which is an invasive species, over a 60-day period. The so-called Python Challenge is aimed at protecting natural Everglades wildlife, which are disappearing thanks to these snakes.
No word on how many snakes have been killed at this point, but Nicholas and Leonardo's find is definitely the biggest.
