President Trump isn't the only president to publicly defend his daughter

You may have heard President Donald Trump is facing backlash for his tweet bashing Nordstrom for dropping his daughter Ivanka’s apparel line.  Did you know there was another president who did something very similar . . .

When Harry Truman was president, his daughter Margaret was given a horrible review of her vocal performance by then “Washington Post” reviewer Paul Hume.  Not only did the president question Paul Hume’s intelligence, but threatened to beat him up!

The letter President Truman wrote included the threat "Some day I hope to meet you.  When that happens you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!”

Wow, a president going for the family jewels!  The letter resides in the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum.  You can see the full document HERE.
