Aaron Bleyaert from LeClaire, Iowa, was asleep when a problem with the house’s electricity caused a horrific fire. The 14-year-old awoke and saw that he was sleeping on a burning bed.
“I’d gotten up, I looked back. The side of my bed was on fire,” Aaron said.
Aaron knows that he is incredibly lucky. He was able to implement fire-prevention skills he learned in school, which helped him safely escape the blazing home.
