This Mom's Viral Post About Car Seats Just Might Save Lives

A mom from Maine posted 2 pictures of her flipping her child upside down in their carseat on Facebook.

She said parents should be asking themselves if they would be comfortable flipping the car seat upside down, after fastening their child into it. She said she did it to raise awareness about car safety.

"After strapping your child into their car seat, ask yourself if you'd be comfortable flipping it upside down," she wrote. "Remember that the chest clip should be at armpit level and the straps should be tight enough to pass the pinch test."

Since she posted the picture last Friday, it has been share more than 48,000 times and people are thanking her for this tip.

She has updated the post since with more information about why it's so important.

Safety experts have warned against the trick for fear of a potential injury. But thousands of moms are grateful.
