When they're not running the free world, American Presidents seems to enjoy the White House's private movie theater. Well, some of them do. Insiders at Hollywood studios say some presidents use the screening room more than others.
The biggest recent movie buff? Barack and Michelle Obama. According to a source, “There was never a film they didn’t request to watch." That includes everything from "La La Land" and other Oscar nominees to "Monster Trucks."
“Bill Clinton was famously interested as well in movies, but that was in the DVD era, so more often than not, he would ask for DVDs,” an executive says. “George W. [Bush] not so much.”
As for the current president, Donald Trump has had two screenings so far: the first, "Finding Dory" followed by the Bryan Cranston/James Franco movie, "Why Him?"
