Texas Teen Dies Months After Allegedly Being Lured By Snapchat 'Predator'

A Texas teenager, who was reunited with her family in December, has died according to Fox News. Heaven Cox vanished from her Texas home on November 25th and was found five days later unharmed at a home in Louisana. The family has not released the cause of death.

Heaven's mother delivered the sad news on Facebook:

Our sweet Heaven left us to be with Jesus this afternoon around 4:00. Some bright lights are not meant for this dark and cruel world….Sing with the angels sweet girl. I love you

Police say that on November 25th Heaven, who suffers from mental illness, left her home on her own accord. Her family claims she was lured away by an older man she met on Snapchat. Police were never able to confirm the involvement of another person in her disappearance, which sparked a nationwide search for the 15-year-old.

When Heaven left her home, police say she left behind a note that said she was going to California. After following multiple leads, they found her at a house that "belonged to a relative of a person Heaven knew," in Lousiana.

They did not rule out criminal charges at the time, but no arrests have been made in the case.
