According to court documents cited by The Washington Post, a Wells Fargo bank teller was accused of stealing $185,000 from a customer described as homeless. The former employee, Phelon Davis, has agreed to a plea deal on a felony charge of interstate transfer of stolen property. Davis must now pay back the stolen money and could face up to 30 months in prison.
This incident happened during the same time of the Wells Fargo scandal were millions of accounts were opened in customer's names. It is unclear whether Davis felony is connected to any of the other fraudulent accounts.
