Pregnant Woman's Body Found in Plastic, in River

The plastic-wrapped body of a missing North Dakota woman was found caught on a log by kayakers in the Red River on Sunday evening, ending a search that began on Aug. 19.

Fargo Police Chief David Todd says that around the same time Sunday, investigators identified what the Minneapolis Star Tribune calls "suspicious material" at a possible crime sceneā€”a farmstead in the area.

Savanna Greywind, 22, was 8 months pregnant when she went missing; she was last seen in the Fargo apartment building she lived in with her parents, having gone upstairs to the apartment of a neighbor who reportedly asked Greywind to model a dress she was sewing, Forum News Service reports.
