'Tis the season for delicious Christmas treats! And this Egg Nog treat that Alan Jackson shared may be one of the most delicious treats yet! The recipe comes from Alan's "Who Says You Can't Cook It All- 2nd Edition" and it looks DELICIOUS! And easy!
All you'll need is three bowls, a whisk or beater, and:
- A pint of heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3/4 cup Bourbon Whiskey
- 1/3 cup Light Rum
- 1 quart of whole milk
Whip the cream until it's stiff and add 1/4 cup of the sugar. In another bowl, you'll whip a 1/2 cup of sugar with egg whites until stiff (put the yolks in a third bowl!). In that third bowl, which should be larger, whip the yolks and 1/2 cup of sugar until creamy. Add the bourbon and rum to the egg yolk mixture, stir in the milk, and then mix all ingredients together. Chill, and sprinkle with nutmeg before serving.
