Rusty Holland Concern Hotline's 55th anniversary party

On April 20th, We're celebrating 55 years of Concern Hotline, which began as a suicide hotline for Vietnam Vets returning to to Shenandoah Country. Its need has never gone away, and in 2023 they serve more counties and more population than ever before.
To celebrate, there's a big party honoring their volunteers and supporters, on April 20th at Fox Meadow Barn on Old Firehouse lane in Winchester. Concern Hotline's CEO Rusty Holland tells us all about it!

RAILS to TRAILS Kevin Walker CEO Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District

There's been much buzz lately about the proposed Rails to Trails project for the Shenandoah valley. Almost 50 miles of discontinued railway line that would be made into a trailway (possibly 4 trailways) for the people of Virginia and other states to use recreationally. Kevin Walker with the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District gives us a solid primer on the project, similar projects around the country, and what this trail network could mean for the towns along the trial.
