The Cubs Make Up For Kid's Ball Being Swiped

The Cubs are heroes to one young fan at Wrigley Field.

Chicago first base coach Will Venable tossed a ball to the boy who was sitting in the first row, but the ball got away from the kid and it rolled under the seats.  That's when a middle-aged man in the second row grabbed the ball and handed it to the woman sitting next to him.  The folks in the second row had a good laugh.

The boy and adults in the first row, not so much.  But that was before the Cubs saw the video.  The team brought the boy two balls, one signed by All-Star second baseman Javier Baez and one game used ball.

Meanwhile the “man” who took the ball got trashed on social media.  His Monday at work should be uber uncomfortable.
