Channing Tatum: I’m Nervous About Broadway

Channing Tatum may be comfortable on stage and the big screen, but he’s not sure he’s got what it takes for Broadway. The actor recently went behind the scenes of the upcoming “Magic Mike: The Musical," and dropped his jaw watching the dance rehearsal.

Channing was already feeling nervous even before he got to the rehearsal room, admitting that he felt “really intimidated” by the high standards of the Broadway adaptation of his movie. He met with director Trip Cullman, choreographer Camille A. Brown, book-writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (you know him from “Riverdale”) and music and lyricist Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. Although Channing’s helping produce the show, he pointed out that the Broadway actors are “literally the best at what they do and I know nothing about musicals!”

Luckily, the whole experience was filmed and has been uploaded on YouTube. So, we're getting a sneak preview of the musical hitting Broadway after its Boston run from November 30th to January 5th, 2020. Check out the video below.
