The life and career of Patrick Swayze are being honored with a new documentary, “I Am Patrick Swayze.” In the trailer, the late actor’s former co-stars, family and friends lovingly remember his magnetic performances and personality.
Along with Patrick’s rise in Hollywood, the documentary will explore the personal demons he battled throughout his career. Fans will get a look at past interviews with the late actor, along with fellow stars Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Sam Elliott, Kelly Lynch and more.
“There was an innate loneliness and I think that’s where his art came from,” says director Roland Joffe of the late star, who died of cancer two years after his 2007 diagnosis. “This was [the] raw courage of someone who knew they were going to die but wasn’t making an issue of it.”
