You have to be careful where you relieve yourself when walking around with radiation in your body. Nobody told one Australian man and he decided to pee in his own backyard thus exposing his family to possible radiation.
The man had been treated at a local hospital with radiation medicine but checked himself out shortly after receiving it. Because of the radioactive isotopes involved, he was advised to only use a toilet. But he ignored his doctor's orders and relieved himself in the yard.
The man was convinced to return to the hospital to complete his decontamination and let the medicine run its course. When he alerted the hospital of what he did they ordered the removal of the turf and soil from the yard and workers were able to clear 95% of the contamination.
