The Most Pet-Friendly Cities In The U.S.

Considering most of us think of our pet as a member of the family, it makes sense that some people take their four-legged friends into consideration when deciding where to live. Some cities in the U.S. are more pet-friendly than others, and a new report reveals which ones are the best for you and your furbabies. 

WalletHub has just revealed their list of the Most Pet-Friendly Cities, looking at 100 of the largest cities across 24 key metrics in areas of budget, health and wellness and outdoor pet friendliness.

Topping the list as the Most Pet-Friendly City is Scottsdale, Arizona, which scores a 58.89 out of 100, and is number one for pet health and wellness, and six for outdoor pet friendliness, although costs must be high because it lands at 80 in the budget category.

  2. Orlando, FL
  3. Tampa, FL
  4. Austin, TX
  5. Phoenix, AZ
  6. Las Vegas, NV
  7. Atlanta, GA
  8. St. Louis, MO
  9. Seattle, WA
  10. Portland, WA

As for the least pet-friendly city, Fresno, California earns the “honor,” with a score of just 32.75, coming in second-to-last in health and wellness and in the bottom ten for budget.
