6-Year-Old Boy Uses Disney Trip Money To Feed Hurricane Dorian Evacuees

Most kids would give anything for a vacation at the “Happiest Place on Earth”. But 6-year-old Jermaine Bell sacrificed his birthday trip to Disney so he could help Hurricane Dorian evacuees. Jermaine is from South Carolina and had been saving money for a birthday blowout at the House of Mouse when he turns 7 on September 8th, WJBF reported. However, when he heard about the devastation from Hurricane Dorian, which is currently battering his home state, he decided to cash it in to hand out free hotdogs, water, and chips those that had been displaced. He set up shop alongside busy Highway 125 in Allendale, SC, advertising his wares by strolling on either side of the road in a homemade apron with cardboard signs. The fun-size humanitarian’s hot dog pop-up served nearly 100 evacuees on Labor Day alone, and many more since, according to CNN.
