Lots of people love to go all-out for Halloween, wearing a wig and heavy makeup to create a costume. But for some folks, that’s not enough and they’re requesting lip fillers and breast injections to look more like certain celebrities for the holiday. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Norman Rowe says he’s noticed an increase in requests for temporary fillers at his New York City-based practice in the weeks and days before Halloween.
Dr. Rowe says when patients come in for Halloween-related appointments, they “name names” and the some of the most popular celebs include Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Aniston, and Serena and Venus Williams. He also says between 10 and 15 patients come in specifically requesting “Kylie Jenner lips” for Halloween, which he creates using filler injections that contain hyaluronic acid and last for between six and 12 months.
And on the day before Halloween, Dr. Rowe says more clients request InstaBreast and InstaButt procedures to enhance their costumes for Halloween events. These Insta-procedures are much more temporary - they involve injecting saline into the area, causing it to swell and look fuller and perkier, but the results only stick around for 24 hours. Long enough for the party, but not the next day at work. And they’re not exactly budget-friendly either. While lip fillers will set you back around $500, InstaBreast injections are $4,500 and InstaButt injections cost $5,500.
