We recently told you about Jayson Gonzalez, the college student who was driving hundreds of miles every weekend to the nearest Krispy Kreme in Iowa, to bring doughnuts back to resell in Minnesota, where there are no Krispy Kremes. When the company found out, they initially banned him from reselling, but then took him on as an independent operator so he could continue his business.
And now, the 21-year-old has been given a brand new Daimler delivery van to make the process easier. The gift comes from FreightWaves and Daimler and will give him a lot more room to bring more boxes of doughnuts back home to sell. Jayson is thankful for what he calls his new “Krispy Kreme mobile.”
