Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are skipping Christmas with the Royal family this year to spend the holiday with Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland. But it turns out that’s not the only holiday tradition they’re missing out on this year . . . and we have the list.
The couple is currently taking some time off as a family. Here’s what else they’ll miss out on this holiday season:
- On Christmas Eve, the Royal family usually gets together to give each other gifts after some afternoon tea. But we’re sure some presents will be set aside for baby Archie–who can resist a onesie?
- Missing out on Christmas at Sandringham means Meghan and Harry won’t walk to St. Mary Magdalene church with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip on the estate like the Royals do every year.
- Since they’re spending Christmas in Los Angeles with Doria, that most likely means that the couple won’t have a Royal chef on hand for Christmas dinner.
- They’ll also apparently miss out on an annual Palace staff party, which usually takes place at St. James’ with the Queen, Prince Charles, and more royal family members present.
But there are still a few holiday traditions Meghan and Harry may keep up with stateside. We're guessing there’s no way that Meghan, with her passion for written letters, will miss out on sending Christmas cards. But something that seems likely? Charity. Turns out that Meghan has been getting in some volunteer work on the sly! In an undated pic, Toronto's St. Felix Centre shared that Meghan's been working with them in the kitchen!
