A Virginia man who grew up poor and is successful today, decided to give back to his hometown of Harrisonburg.
It’s the season of giving, and that’s just what Adam Armstrong did. Saturday, he stopped at the Harris Garden Apartments, where he grew up, and handed out bikes, remote control toys, balls, and more to the children that live in the Section 8 complex.
Adam says of the experience, “You see these kids and you hand them a baby doll, or a Nerf gun, a bicycle, two little boys throwing a football and you can't put a price on the feeling that gives you.”
But he wasn’t done yet! The Santa hat wearing do-gooder stopped at three more low-income housing complexes to give away the contents of the truck. There were some toys left over, so Adam donated them to the Salvation Army.
In all, the good guy gave away $12,000 in happiness!
