Most parents have had to deal with a kid pleading to stay home from school, and some kids have even come up with ways to fake being sick. But one young girl found a totally adorable way to ask for the day off, and it’s now going viral.
Mom Danielle Joyce recently shared the sweet handwritten note her nine-year-old daughter Olivia left for her in an attempt to convince mom to let her stay home from school. Not only did Olivia give mom a script advising her what to tell the school, but she even attempted to charm her into saying yes.
“Hi mum it's Olivia. I just wanted to tell you dont wake me up I am realy tired!,” the note read. “Pls say to the office: 'Hi it's Olivia's mum she has a high tempreture and she says she feels dissy and sick...,” adding, "Please at least I can spend some time with you :) I love you xxx PLEASE JUST FOR ME! xxx PS - your lovely daughter Olivia."
In sharing the note Danielle wrote, “This made me laugh this morning. You wouldn’t think she had just had 5 months off would you?,” adding, “It didn't work and she is at school."
But while the note may not have worked, folks on social media were totally impressed by it.
- "How could you say no to that?,” one person commented, while another added, "What a brilliant funny kid I’d deffo give her the day off, pamper her like a princess and be super proud of her spirit lol."
