An Indian man has been given a double life sentence after he was found guilty of what’s being called ‘the rarest of rare cases.’ Sooraj Kumar set a highly venomous Russell’s viper on his 25-year-old wife; the bite from that snake left her in the hospital for almost two months. When she got out of the hospital, she stayed at her parent’s home to recover; Kumar got his hands on a cobra from a snake handler, went to her parent’s house, and threw the second snake at her while she was sleeping…the cobra bite killed her. It’s believed to be the first time someone has been convicted of murder by using a snake as a weapon in India.
