It’s all fun and games until you set off a sonic boom.
Several people taking target practice are looking at charges after an explosion in New Castle County, Delaware. Authorities say they placed a binary exploding rifle target inside of a car in a farm field in Middletown, then opened fire.
The explosion from the "sonic boom target" could be heard and felt for miles, and sent debris flying over a three-acre radius.
The 911 system was flooded with calls about it. That’s how state police ended up in the field rounding up several people. All of those involved have been identified, and criminal charges are pending.
