Simon George was worried about what his new girlfriend would think about his hobby, so instead of telling her about the 200-foot-long model train set in his basement, he told her he was a wine merchant and stored wine in the basement. He kept up the story for six months until his girlfriend wandered into the basement and asked where all the wine was.
Luckily for George, his girlfriend had an art degree and really appreciated the detail he had put into the display. The model train set, the largest in Britain, is currently on public display, and George and his girlfriend Marie are now engaged.
