New disability inclusive clothing line from Tommy Hilfiger

People who are in a wheelchair, wear braces, or have other forms of limited mobility sometimes have issues with fastening the buttons on shirts, cuffs, and the flies of pants, but a new line from Tommy Hilfiger aims to make things easier.  The clothing designer is coming out with an Adaptive Collection of disability-inclusive clothing that has magnetic buttons, pants with Velcro flies and more innovations to make them easier to put on and wear.

The collection will include 37 men’s and 34 women’s styles with adjustable seams - so they can accommodate braces and prosthetics - and hidden magnetic closures at the shoulders to help dress neck openings expand.  And the best part?  The Adaptive Collection designs look like Tommy Hilfiger’s traditional line, so the clothes have all the style plus the adjustments folks with disabilities can use.

“Inclusivity and the democratization of fashion have always been at the core of my brand’s DNA,” Tommy Hilfiger says in a statement.  “These collections continue to build on that vision, empowering differently abled adults to express themselves through fashion.”
