Luke Combs Namechecks His Biggest Moments From 2021

Luke Combs is getting set to hit the red carpet during the CMT 'Artist of the Year event,' where he will be honored for his contribution to the country music genre during the past year.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Luke revealed which accomplishments from 2021 he is celebrating the most.

Is it the string of number one singles? Is it his highly successful digital livestream shows? Is it booking his 360 tour? Is it his partnership with Crocs?

"I would say getting married is probably tops, right?" laughs the "Beer Never Broke My Heart" singer.

"And, then, after that, man, I think probably getting back to shows," says Luke. "We did 20 shows this summer, all festivals and a few of our own shows kind of sprinkled in there."

While it feels good to play with his band on the stage again, Luke is really enjoying being back in front of his fans, saying, "Man, the crowds are just so excited, and the energy has been unmatched."

"We had some really on fire shows back before [the pandemic] all happened, but that first show back, man, people are just on another level," says the country star. "It's been awesome, and I hope it lasts!"

Watch for Luke on Wednesday night during the 2021 CMT 'Artist of the Year' special airing LIVE from Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Wednesday, October 13 at 9 p/8c on CMT.
