In fall 2017, the FBI was contacted after a YouTube user by the name of Nikolas Cruz--who just killed 17 people at a Florida high school--left a disturbing comment on a video. BuzzFeed News reports that Mississippi resident Ben Bennight alerted both YouTube and the FBI after Cruz posted, "I'm going to be a professional school shooter," in response to a video. "[FBI agents] came to my office the next morning and asked me if I knew anything about the person," Bennight said. "I didn't. They took a copy of the screenshot and that was the last I heard from them." After yesterday's shooting in Parkland, however, the FBI contacted and visited Bennight again to ask if he had information. Officials haven't confirmed if the account actually belonged to the accused murderer, who killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
