“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” returns to ABC Sunday night and the premiere episode will feature a tribute to the show’s former host, Regis Philbin, who passed away in July at the age of 88.
Michael Davies, who produced both the original series on ABC and the current installment, says it was important to current host JimmyKimmel to pay tribute to Philbin.
“He wrote a beautiful tribute to Regis and then we go to an edited package of some of my most memorable moments of working with Regis on the show,” Davies shares, “We give him an emotional sendoff on the stage and the studio he owned.
