Johnny Gilbert has been the announcer for “Jeopardy” for the entirety of Alex Trebek’s 37 years on “Jeopardy.” In a tribute issue of People, the 96-year-old reflects on the smart, introspective person who always had jokes. Johnny – who also played golf with Alex – said the set has been much more somber since the 80-year-old’s death last month. “Part of me left here when Alex left, really,” he noted. But he says he’ll stay with the show because, as he put it, “’Jeopardy’ has always been my life.”
