The FDA is recalling dry pet food that may contain a toxin.
Several bags of Sportmix brand dry food are being recalled. The FDA reports they may have dangerous amounts of aflatoxin produced by mold grown on corn and other grains. At least 28 dogs have died and eight others got sick.
The products were made by Midwestern Pet Foods and sold online and in stores nationwide. They include Sportmix Energy Plus, Sportmix Premium High Energy, and Sportmix Original Cat.
