A Texas-based company is showing off its work after fully surveying the world's deepest known shipwreck.
A crew from Caladan Oceanic took a vessel to map and film the USS Johnston 21-thousand-180 feet below the surface of the Philippine Sea. It is a World War II U.S. Navy destroyer that was sunk during a battle with Japan in 1944.
Caladan Oceanic's founder, Victor Vescovo, was given the record of completing the deepest shipwreck dive ever. He said as a former Navy commander, he's proud to help bring "clarity and closure" to the ship, its crew and loved ones.
