After COVID stopped the fun last year, one of the biggest fireworks displays in the country returns!
Pyro technicians are preparing for New York City's 45th annual Macy's Fireworks Spectacular. The fireworks will be launched by a custom-designed computerized digital firing system.
A whopping 65-thousand shells will be launched one by one on five barges in the east river, with some shells 10-inches in diameter and weighing up to 50 pounds. The media will get a sneak preview of the setup next week with 50 pyro technicians who are putting the show together.
