Remote work is about to change… if Facebook has anything to say about it.
Mark Zuckerberg unveiled “Horizontal Workrooms” on “CBS This Morning.” Zuck and Gayle King wore VR headsets for the reveal and interview.
Here’s how the VR app will work: With "Horizon Workrooms," you can enter and experience a virtual reality office as personally designed avatars. In the workroom, you can see your computer screen and keyboard, interact with your co-workers, brainstorm and give presentations.
In other words, the avatars of you and your co-workers sit around a table and work together as you talk realtime. With the VR twist, you can control your movements. To get started, you’ll all need an Oculus VR headset.
