Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Returning This Year

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is back. Although last year’s event had to be a TV-only event due to COVID, the organizers are returning to their roots this time.

According to Will Coss, Executive Producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the annual event is a New York City institution that kicks off the holiday season. “For our 95th celebration, we are delighted to return this cherished holiday tradition closer to its original form as we march down the streets of New York City and into the homes of a nationwide audience,” he said.

Of course, there are expectations regarding COVID-19 safety guidelines. Parade workers and volunteers will have to show proof of vaccination and be required to wear a face covering. In addition, social distancing will be enforced on the crowd. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air Thursday, November 25th on NBC-TV.
