As of late, collectors have seen big cash come in from trading cards, old video games, consoles, and other nostalgic items. If you were one who felt the need to save your old VHS tapes, you may be in luck. Kohl Hitt has set up VHSDNA, a company that grades old video cassettes. Sales of tapes on eBay have shown an increase in interest, with some sealed, first-release VHS tapes hitting the $100 mark months ago, and now seeing as much as $1,000. Hitt says it “makes sense” because the tapes are essentially “smaller movie posters.”
