Tesla’s Cameras Capture Elderly Woman Keying Car

It was road rage over a parking space in Baton Rouge, Louisiana last week when an elderly woman keyed the Tesla of Amanda Aubin. Aubin pulled into an empty parking spot the other woman apparently wanted at a clinic, and when Aubin came back to her Tesla 45 minutes later, she found several scratches and ‘pretty deep cuts.’ What the elderly woman might not have realized is that the Tesla was in ‘Sentry Mode,” a security feature that monitors suspicious activity around the car while it’s parked. The car’s cameras captured clear video of the woman walking by the car and dragging her key down the side of it. The repairs cost close to $8k, and Aubin has filed a police report.
