When researchers found the perfect house for the 2006 Christmas movie ‘The Holiday,’ the location was too isolated to bring the cast and crew to for filming, so they built an exact replica on a studio lot. The original house went up for sale in 2019, and Jon and Cressida Bromley fell in love with the cottage and bought it.
After it was theirs, they found out the house’s pedigree. The Bromleys say they have visitors every so often, asking to take pictures with the house, but they don’t mind. They say they still love their house and the surrounding area, calling it “one of those getaways where you go and hide.”
