If you talk to things other than people when you’re at home, you’re in good company.
“The Joy Of Plants” did a study and found over half of people asked talk to not only their pets, but plants and inanimate objects. And this is conversations, not just curtains at your computer!
Here are some of the takeaways:
- 60-percent have two way conversations with pets
- 44-percent often talk to their house plants
- Four-in-ten ask it if it’s thirsty
- Many not only yell at their computer but scold their TV or coffee maker
- 20-percent plead with their car to keep going while low on fuel
- 10-percent have thanked an ATM for giving them cash
- Most people have been caught mid-conversation by another person
In case you didn’t know, talking with plants is actually helpful. “The Joy of Plants” says hearing a soothing voice because the vibrations are stimulating to them.
