Domino’s has just announced that their $7.99 carryout deal on their popular chicken wings is changing. While you used to get 10 wings for that price, that’ll now be eight. On top of that, the carryout deal will now be an online-only deal.
What gives? The economy. Domino’s CEO Ritch Allison says the change is thanks to the rise in inflation and product costs – but they’re also anticipating rising food and labor costs.
As for the flip to online only, Domino’s is also focusing more on digital orders from websites and apps – as 50% of their sales currently come from digital orders and two-thirds of those are delivery orders with the rest being take-out orders.
