Melissa Brodt bought a home in Boise, Idaho in December and has been renovating it. She recently started on the room that will be her son’s when she noted a wall covering was asphalt shingles. When she pulled them off, she got a shock: about 16-hundred vintage baseball cards laid out like wallpaper.
Melissa didn’t know what she was looking at, but her friends did…and they freaked out. The cards included Mike Schmidt, George Brett and legendary manager Whitey Herzog. When she reached out to the original owner’s son, he gave her the backstory of decorating the room!
The cards are worthless, since they were basically superglued to the wall. Now deciding what to do with the cards, and the wall itself, will be a bit of a challenge.
